SJMP Open House

How does the SJMP spirit come alive again? Students and teachers working side by side demonstrated dedication and support in making SJMP stand out again. On November 3, the St. Joseph’s Morrow Park community showed their true colours and made them shine in working as a team when welcoming the grade eights to our humble and beloved school. Our community managed to spread the spirit of sisterhood through their talents, word of mouth, and the history of our school. Students came from miles away in order to get more knowledge and a taste of our school.

Our team managed to successfully showcase their talents in a variety of ways, from creative writing pieces composed by the CSLIT students to PowerPoint presentations shown in Ms. Mori’s math class. Each and every classroom was decorated and designed in such a way that made the grade eight students wish to stay. The many posters displayed on tables throughout the first floor offered plenty of knowledge and insight of what it felt like to be a student in our school. The fashion show was a success in bringing parents along with their daughters to a realization of how amazing and creative our school can really be. The events just kept spilling out, one by one, and made the school appear even better and brighter.

Student representatives would stand in each class and act as mentors for the students who felt indecisive and wondered whether our school was the right choice for making their dreams come true. Spreading the word was difficult at times, but also rewarding. After all, the rich history of our school is unique in every aspect of the word, and managed to catch the attention of many grade eight students visiting our school. History brings life to our school and makes students grasp onto the roots in carrying on its amazing legacy and unique tradition. The visitors were nicely impressed by our past, which is reflected not only in our great academic achievements, but also in the great architecture that graces the precincts of our school.

The St. Joseph’s Morrow Park Open House could not have been so successful had it not been for the teachers’ and students’ hard work, dedication, and creative ideas in making our school shine even more brightly than before. Keep loving, believing and sharing this wonderful spirit with everyone, SJMP!
