Fall TV Premieres

Fall is everyone’s favourite time of the year. It’s an amazing time to drink pumpkin spice lattes, and take candid pictures in the leaves, but everyone forgets it’s also the time for great television premieres. Throughout September and October, television networks air some of their best, and occasionally worst, new shows.

If you’re someone who cries easily, NBC’s new show This Is Us probably isn’t for you. The show follows a handful of people who were born on the same day, and together show us that no matter how different we may seem and how alone we think we are, we are connected to each other in more ways than it may ever seem.

When terrorists bomb the Congress during a State of the Union address, Tom Kirkman gets thrown into the presidency as everyone in line ahead of him has died during the attack. ABC’s Designated Survivor shows what happens when an everyday man gets thrown into power, but the producers missed the mark slightly, as the first episode focuses more on his family aspect than what is truly going on.

One other amazing show that recently premiered is Fox TV’s Lethal Weapon. It delivers viewers with action packed scenes as well as comedy. It depicts a recently widowed husband, Martin Riggs, who gets partnered with Roger Murtaugh, a man who recently suffered a heart attack, on the LAPD. Together the two seem to often take things too far but always seem to get the job done.

There are some really great television shows airing this fall, so make sure to mark it down on your calendars, because you really don’t want to miss these shows!
